As I woke up this morning, everything changed. Life changed. This was a day of the kind that starts a demarcation. Everything that had happened this weekend was superb! I feel so empowered from this day on forward.
It is amazing how God can use the minor details of our lives to speak to us. Hence, I am now sharing with you my experience over this weekend about God’s amazing grace.
1. SUPERBOOK FAMILY
It did not come to my wild imagination that I will be part of Superbook Reimagined family. Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) brings the all-new Superbook. I am a fan of this TV Show when I was a kid and God blessed me to be a part of their team. I became one of Superbook Twitter Ambassadors.
2. SAVED FESTIVAL 2014
This year’s SAVED Festival 2014 was rooted in the verse Acts 4:12 and points to No Other Name that SALVATION can be received by those who believe. I was at St. Luke’s Global City with my sister last Saturday for the blood donation drive. While waiting for our turn, I was checking my Twitter and saw this tweet by Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. They will give free tickets to the Saved Festival 2014 by answering their question. I tried joining their contest since I have been praying God for this event few months ago. Since I got sick and I prioritized my hobby – books, I went out of budget. After 30 mins, I got a notification from Edsa Shangri-La Hotel.

I WASN’T EXPECTING IT! It blew me away! I won because of God’s grace. I know in my heart, I don’t deserve to win but I know it was not an accident that God let me. Since it was in such a surprise, I needed to go home after the blood donation, to get dressed in a jiffy and find a buddy to accompany me. I texted and called all my friends if they are free that night to accompany me. I only texted and called friends who are a Globe subscriber since I was unlimited text and call Globe to Globe. Sadly, all of them have other priorities.
This was my first time to enter Edsa Shangri-La Hotel and I was a little skeptical having seen many expensive wall paintings, furniture, overwhelming lobbies and garden villas. Did I mention the pool? It was very huge and I must say it was the gem of the hotel. Set aside that I am fond of swimming pool. No bias here. Hahaha! I met Kuya Ralph (a fellow Christian) and Kuya Jun (an open minded Mormon) at the concierge and they were both so excited when they handed me my 2 Patron tickets.

One my way to Smart Araneta Coliseum, I texted a friend to load up my phone because I might have a hard time finding loading stations near the event venue and my unlimited call and text was about to expire. Once I got my load, I uploaded the photo of my tickets on my Instagram and Facebook. After a few minutes, I got a Facebook notification that Dennis commented on my recent uploaded photo. He said he wanted the other ticket. Lord’s timing is really good, pleasing and perfect – I have regular load on my phone and I have a buddy to accompany me - Dennis! So I texted Dennis right after reading his comment. The rest is history. What Dennis did not know is that during the time I almost gave up inviting all my friends to accompany me, he was on my list. However, he is using other mobile network so I was not able to invite him as early as I got the tweet from Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. Looking back few months ago, I asked Dennis if he plans to watch the Saved Festival 2014 but he said he was not sure.

REVELATION: I was blessed to have Dennis as my buddy that night. Our meeting was perfect! We have not seen each other in person prior to the event. Yes, you are right. That was the first time we see each other in person. Dennis and I were part of the Tegan and Sara Philippines fandom. We talked through Twitter and Facebook message. We both go in the same church – Victory Christian Fellowship, but different location. We have the same faith. I tried to watch his gig (he is a part of a band by the way) but I cannot due to inevitable circumstances. Finally, we met.
Almost 5 hours of praise and worship songs was so worth it! All the voices, sweat, lights and sounds would be useless if it were not be offered to God. It was awesome! God's Holy Spirit filled the place. It was also an answered prayer. I finally got the chance to see Israel Houghton. Squee! OMG! I am a fan. And Pastor Francis Chan was awesome. I have learned a lot from him. Humbled to heard him preach. Esterlyn is new to me but I already heard their Esther song few weeks ago. And wow, Luke Caldwell was so handsome! *squeals like a fangirl* Awesome performance by our very own Victory Worship.
3. FOUNDATION FOR VICTORY
I retake Foundation For Victory class this month. I was originally enrolled on Batch 03 but I was not able to finish and graduate due to 3 absences I had. So this time I will make sure that I will finish this class. I am part of Batch 05 now and for the second time, I was appointed to be the group admin. Last Sunday was our first class. I was not feeling really well because of migraine and lack of rest and sleep. Thanks be to God and some medicines that I took from our church's clinic, migraine was gone after an hour.

What a BLESSING this weekend has been for me. I learned more about JESUS and His amazing grace and mercy for me. Everything that I experienced this weekend was a completion and revelation of God's promise on 1 Kings 3:13-15.
God, thank you for showing and teaching me what true blessings are. It's not just my house, my job, my needs and wants and not even my standard of living. I know a God who loves the unlovable. I know a God who comforts the sorrowful. I know a God who look at me not only as a daughter but a friend and I have a committed relationship with Him. That is what my blessing is.
